From humble beginnings, Farm North is growing a movement
—empowering farmers, transforming agriculture, and feeding futures.
2017
Vision to Fight Hunger
Founded with a deep desire to end hunger in Northern Ghana, Farm North was born to empower smallholder farmers and transform local agriculture through innovation and inclusion.
2019
Farming & Farmer Support
We began farming on a 100-acre land and launched our farmer support program—offering training in Good Agronomic Practices and linking smallholders to reliable markets.
2021
Growth Through Community & Trade
With rising demand, we expanded into agri-commodity trading and scaled farmer outreach—serving over 5,000 farmers with equipment access and advisory services.
2023
Incorporation & Innovation
Farm North officially became a Limited Liability Company, expanding irrigation systems, demo farms, and digital extension support to increase year-round farming success.
2025
Feeding the Future, Sustainably
As we scale across Northern Ghana, we continue investing in training, mechanization, and market access—building a resilient agricultural system for generations to come.

About Our Chief Farmer, Co-Founder & CEO
Rafik Tendaana Yussif
Rafiq Tendaana Yussif is the passionate Founder and CEO of Farm North. With years of hands-on experience in agriculture and business, he leads the team with vision and purpose. Before starting Farm Ghana, he spent nine years managing Blue Ice Drinking Water and also served as Project Manager at Star Brand Consult. His leadership and business skills shine through everything we do.
He also worked with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) as an Extension Officer, supporting smallholder farmers with improved farming methods. He holds a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from the University for Development Studies.
Rafiq believes in using simple, practical solutions to solve real problems. Under his guidance, Farm North is helping farmers grow more food, earn better incomes, and protect the environment.
